I'm trying to fix my girlfriends internet problem and can't figure out what im doing wrong. She has the following equipment Cable Modem,Linksys SPA2102, and D-Link DIR-655 router.
I hooked it up as follows.... cable modem -> LINKSYS VOIP -> DIR-655
had two problems with that setup.... first when the phone was turned on the wireless internet disconnected. second problem was that that the internet would occasionally go down and would have to power cycle to get it working (happened 2-3 times a day)
I then hooked it up like this.... cable modem -> DIR-655 -> LINKSYS VOIP
with this setup I got these 2 problems.... the internet would occasionally go down again and there was no wireless internet at all when i searching for the network.
I would really prefer to set it up the second way I listed.... but at this point I will take anything that works....

P.S. I'm thinking I have a DHCP issue?
