What about these gangster wannabes who hold their handguns sideways when they point them?

I think that is SO stupid. The mark of a true idiot.

As long as they're accurate within 21' does it matter how they hold them? :Q

you know there was this one famous Isareli sharp shooter that actually shot that way...considering how semi-auto pistols tend to fire left or right instead of up and down...it's not too bad...that;s with proper training of course tho

I like it when they hold it sideways, and their arm is raised high over their head with their hand pointing down. Must be so they can get it over the 7-11 counter during robberies, little punks.

It reminds me of news reports that show combatants firing their Kalashnikovs over a wall without aiming at anything. ;)

It's my understanding that this originated from police swat teams that would go into a riot or enter a building with a shield raised in front using the 'off' hand. The pistol was held sideways allowing a clear field-of-fire around the shield.

But for your average knucklehead on TV or playing gangsta', it's just foolish.

It does make it easier to disarm them. Also the recoil will make their 2nd shot go wild.

Always use both hands, with one supporting the other.

You are all wrong, thats how they got it out the box.

bwwaaaahhhhh! Now that is funny, I think we have a winner. I can see them unpacking it now "must go that way, it says this end up on the box and it is sideways in there.." "what do you think?" "dude, that's why you are our leader, because you are so smart"

Do you want/need more of an explanation? Look for pics of officers holding riot shields and you'll see what I mean.

Q: - Police detective
A: - Suspect

Q: What did you use to shoot <removed> in the back?
A: I g't diz c00lio bi'g gun.

Q: What kind of gun did you use?
A: I telz you pork-a'chop azses d'at it wuz diz bi'g gunnnn.

Q: What kind of bullets did the gun use?
A: Homey, d'at gunnnn o' mize uz'a bi'g redddd bulzets.

That is pretty much how the story went back in the early 90's. This was in Omaha, NE where a twelve or thirteen year old punk shot some sixteen year old punk down in cowardly fashion. Apparently it was uncool for the older punk to be in the wrong South O' neighborhood during broad daylight, so the younger punk took his stolen shotgun and tried to kill him. One shot in the back of the torso with birdshot. I'm sure the older punk killed the younger one (years later) when he got out of the juvenile detention center...

Actually, what would be really funny is if the fired a high powered pistol that way. Firing sideways is a good way to break your wrist.

Speaking of stupid. How many people have you seen split their eye open with the scope of a deer rifle? I know one guy that did it every deer season.

I thought it was because it was easier to aim down the flat side of the gun rather than using all that crazy stuff (the sights) on top

Its only easier to do it that way if you have ingested significant amounts of crack

Bangers blowing each other away? Why did the cops waste taxpayer money investigating it? Just hand their parents some pine boxes and move on to the next crime.

That Birdman link is hysterical, and takes a much more effective swipe at this stupid trend than my post did.

THANKS!
