EDIT:

It's now $2.27

-------------------

$2.19
$2.29
$2.39

@ a Southern California Shell. Even the mom & pop gas stations are at $2.10-$2.15 now. I swear it was not more than a month or that it was $1.50 :disgust:

What's your damage and where are you located?

1.89 for Regular here in Chicago, and that's at some of the cheap places. I can't even imagine what it is downtown...

Southern Connecticut

$1.75 @ a Mobil station (Regular-87)
$1.69 @ a Sunoco station (Regular-87)
$1.71 @ a Citgo station (Regular-87)

Just a month ago, most stations were about 20 cents cheaper. Go back around Christmas season and I got gas for as low as $1.49/gallon Regular.

Work actually has a program where they will give you $100 (in tokens/passes only) towards public transportation.

However as my luck would have it...there are no buses/trains that go my way or let off anywhere remotely close.

I paid $1.64 for 89 yesterday near my parent's house, and then got almost 32 mpg coming home. :)

That's what you get for having an overly large station wagon as your primary car.

Good point. I'm complaining and I drive a lowly '90 Carolla :)

Ah well, I'm gonna go hop on my 24" GT and get some Italianio done. Ciao!

$1.57 last I checked in VA. Might have gone up.

wow...what was it two months ago?
Northern VA is actually $1.73 - $1.74 at Exxon, Shell and Mobil stations. When I head for Pr. Wm. county, Sheetz and others are still $1.57 - but that was before the other stations raised their prices by $.05 a gallon. So, I'm sure the $1.57 figure broke $1.60 before the day was over.

Sure, we're paying less than the Californians are paying. However, it's all relative. When gas jumps by $.50 a gallon, that's the price of the increase across the board. We were used to paying $1.15 a gallong just like someone from California was used to paying $1.60 a gallon. The price jump has been equally damaging no matter where you live.

you should. Maybe one of these days the US will wake up and implement more approriate taxes for gas like they do in the EU and most elsewhere.

Then, every soccer mom in the country won't be driving an urban assault vehicle to get the dry cleaning.
