Ok its supposed to be GAS prices, sheesh...
I saw somewhere a pic and description of a flywheel powered cycle - you pedal at first to get the flywheel going and then you squeeze a lever on the handle to start tighten up a clutch on the flywheel and off ya go!!! Anyone know where i can find mor info on it?

how much are they where your at? Here, in Michigan, they've been floating around $2 a gallon. that's obscene!! they've just now started to drop. I just got gas the other day for $1.88. Wow, what a deal!!

Wow, gas is online like 1.70 or a little less in New Jersey, I guess we are lucky. But we have to live in new jersey, so it makes up for the gas

It is around $1.69.9 for the cheap stuff here in the D.C. area, just before the prices started going up I changed jobs and cut a hundred miles a week off my commute :) that was good timing :)

A gal here in town has a Corbin Sparrow, verry small, one small person, hardly enough room for groceries. its like a three wheel moter cycle backwards with a fiberglass body. just good for around town, she paid about $14000 for it. they are made in central cal.

A flywheel powered cycle? I tthink it would be difficult to get that many flies into the wheel, let alone training them to go in the same direction at the same time. ;)

Gas is like $1.75 here for the good stuff. It's killing me. I have a 4x4 truck that gets 15 MPG around town. UGH. :(

Ardnola: Yeah I found the website for them...they are pretty neat but 14grand? might as well buy a cheap Hyundai for 9 grand and use the rest for gas and repairs...what we need is something completely fuel independent that doesnt cost an arm and leg...

yeah. I thought 14 grand a bit over the top too. you would have to have another vehicle. once they have the mold doesn't cost that much to make a f/g body. Ive done it. also a guy on a bike would total you. guess Im lucky took 8 months to put 3000 mi. on my 25MPG car (99Ford Escort Wagon.) but I do ocasionaly make trips longer than that thing could round trip. gas here is around 1.60 a gal.

high gas prices are punishment for people who drive unnecessarily large vehicles for frivolous reasons around town. (ahem... yuppie scum and their ford excursions/expeditions which primarily cart around one passenger and some golf clubs.) i do however feel sorry for the people that have no choice in the vehicle they drive and/or really need that vehicle for legit reasons.
