OK, for some reason my monitor's screen is having convulsions!!

There are NO:

1)newly connected devices on my power strip
2)subwoofers/satellites near my monitor

The only thing that's new is my webcam, but i had that for a week now, and this "shaky" monitor thang's only popped up for the past 2 days. What's up with this thing? Are those solar flare thingies causing my monitor to "shake" or what? I haven't added anything new, so it SHOULDN'T be a problem....

how about turning it off and unplugging it from power and letting it sit for a while...then plugging it back in

It's your cellphone. When I'm sitting at my computer, my cellphone is usually lying on my desk next to the monitor. Whenever the cellphone (GSM) contacts the mothership, my screen goes wacky. Then 2 seconds later it is fine.

Hmm..my cell phone doesn't do that (always sits next to monitor), but when my it gets a call, or has some trasmission between it and Cingular, or something, my speakers start buzzing, but only for a couple of seconds....wierd though, makes sense, but still kinda wierd

I got that monitor and that problem. Lol.



Mine happens when I have dark colours on the screen. For example, if I have a black background and open a white window, the screen will convulse. If I have only a light background, then nothinghappens.




<-- too lazy to RMA monitor, so just uses light backgrounds.

Nope, no flourescent lights, nothing new to my room anyways. But actually, it seems that the problem has subsided...or let's hope so.
