Well I think you should design it for 800x600. Your fonts and graphics are huge... ;)

I don't use 800x600, but by designing around it around 800x600 us 1024x768 users can see more of the page at one time. :)

I would agree with Bowdown, I still prefer 8X6 myself and design my pages around that.

Nice graphics!

But, as was suggested above, make it a little smaller.

btw- Looks good on Mozilla 0.7. ;)

First, the graphics are about 2x bigger than they have to be, there are way to many gif animations, the text is 2x bigger than it has to be, the text color is way to screaming.

The fonts are far to large. Really, you should aim to have the whole of that first page fit on 1 800x600 desktop. Scrolling down to have to access the options is a bit annoying for lots of people.

I reckon if you reduce the size of the sword yielding femme fetal's and stick the 4 options in-between them, that could be a good start.

The page should automatically send an electrical impulse to fry the Troll and destroy his computer....

Nothing wrong with a little wishful thinking, right?

Damn.
Too BIG..

I personally code my pages to resize when you stretch or shrink them. And start with a base of 600*400 so even a 640*480 can see the site as intended (so long as they maximize the window)

McKerracher SCS
Eg. of resizing - try stretching the window

yes, definately shrink those babys down foo. maybe develop somewhat of a rhyme or reason to all the pages, so they flow nicely together... your text is far too big as well. I dont know how much exp you have, but it really looks too amatureish (not being mean, just telling the truth).

Looks great to me, but I run at 1600x1200, so yes, the graphics are a bit large for the large majority of users. Also, holy crap that's a lot of HTML code for that page. I would suggest that you find something other than MS Word for an HTML editor, FrontPage at the very least. Dream Weaver is favored by a lot of people here, and if you really want to do it, try learning the HTML code and using Notepad. As a first page, it's better than most, it doesn't look like you threw it up in 5 minutes using an online homepage builder, and it will eventually have a prupose. Overall, good first effort, given some time, I think the page will look pretty good.

I would get rid of whatever was wanting a MIDI plug-in. Also you need to use the ALT tag for your images. Using lynx I had no idea what the links were for.

gfx are way to big. And you should consider having some type of description of the point of this site on the home page

pamchenko: Heatware is an aid in trading, but is not the be all end all. This site will help those that are thinking about entering into a trade (check Heatware and then this site) as well as those that have had a deal go bad.

Ulfwald: I'd cut out the music. It was fine at work with cable, byt my 56k dialup aint likin it so much...

EDIT: Mod.s, I think the picture or tow that contained a hint of nudity were removed earlier. Either that or I'm missing it....

Yep, The graphics that hinted at nudity have been changed. Sorry for that. :)

This is a first attempt for me at design. This s work under construction, and I am just now Really learning Dreamweaver. Adul has been helping me by showing me about frames and such.

Thanks for the suggestions. Keep them coming.

Yeah, remove the midi file, no one likes music when looking at a web page. Also when the .mid file pops up for download and I click cancel the page closes.

Yes Folks, I have removed the <gasp!> breast pics. Eventhough many here may appreciate the artwork of Julie Bell and Boris Valejo, it was not appropiate for this site, and what these pages are intended for.
