OK Firefox has done that thing where....

I usually just have to close Firefox, end the proccess, the restart.

Oh, this is a common problem? Everytime it happens I lose all my bookmarks, passwords, and special (porn) links. It really pisses me off.

the firefox.exe is still running in task manager.. go to the processes tab and close it out... took me many times to figure that one out

You "lose" all those things because you have FF create a new profile instead. All your bookmarks are still on your computer, but in one of the old profiles. Just kill the FF process in the task manager.

Yeah, it happens to me once a month or so. Don't create a new profile and restart Firefox, and all should be well.
