Some of you may have seen my earlier post about my Samsung SyncMaster 900IFT sometimes making a small pop sound and the screen flashing. Well, this week I moved the Radeon 8500 from my home system (the one with the Samsung monitor) to my school system. Now my Optiquest Q75 (which has never ever before had the slightest problem) is acting very weird. Every now and then for absolutely no reason the screen will start umm... well, fluttering I guess would describe it best. It's like parts of the screen shake really fast. Sometimes it does it for a few seconds and gets better, one time I had to turn off the computer to fix it. Changing resolution/refresh rate did not fix it.

So what do you think? Do I have 2 dying monitors? Or do I have a bad Radeon 8500 that is screwing with them? The problems with both monitors are quite different. The thing that really points to the Radeon is the fact the SyncMaster worked perfectly for the first 2 weeks before I got the Radeon. Also, the problems started with the Optiquest started only minutes after putting the Radeon in this system.

I'm gonna be really pissed if I have to RMA 2 yes 2 ATI cards this month! :|:|:| (my other Radeon (64 VIVO) has a dying fan). Then again can I even RMA an OEM card??? (how about to Newegg???)

you said you had 2 computers so i assume you have another graphics card . Try the moniters on the other graphics card and see what happens

What about the normal connector? I'm not using the DVI connector on mine. Also, which problem are you having?
