Ok dumb question for those with rio 600's

I cant transfer my mp3s from my lappy to my rio... i just got it... can someone help. I tried the send to under the right click option but it doesnt give me the rio as an option... Help???

If you're using 2000/XP you should be able to recognize the device as another storage drive after you plug it in. Then just upen it up from "My Computer" and drag and drop.

I'm using WinXP, and I don't see my Rio 600 show up as another storage drive in Windows Explorer. How do you do it?

Have you tried other USB devices with your laptop?

i wasnt getting the right driver i had to go get one that would work with windows media player 9
no other ones would work

I just installed Sveta Portable Audio.

It lets you use Windows Explorer to browse your music files, right-click on a file, convert it to a different format (e.g MP3 192Kb to WMP 64Kb), and transfer it to your Rio 600. $19.00 to register it after 30 day free trial.

Still not quite as simple as just "drag 'n' drop" files. <sigh>
