Just learned these exist:

For $30, and assuming they can be turned on or off, I might get some for a "hey, check this out" gag :D

They're actually called puddle lights ;)

Some of the mustangs come from the factory with the horsey shaped one.

Yeah. Although some are meant for actually lighting up the car, while others are just for show (logos) or to run along the underside. I actually really like the strip-style spotlight kit like this: (scroll down)

Kind of a cool effect without being overly-gimmicky like a logo light.

It's neat. But it will probably get taken over and corrupted by the donk crowd.

They are becoming pretty common on cars. Even our utilitarian 4 Runner has them.

The BMW emblem is embarrassingly tacky.

Like I said- if you can turn them on and off, it would be a cool "watch this!" thing with friends :D I like adding stuff like that to my cars.

Figures it would be a BMW. How else could you show off you're more of a douche bag than with projectors of the logo of the car you're driving?

You know though, if it actually looks as sharp & bright as advertised, a high-quality projected image would actually look pretty cool...

I do that with my friends with blowers and turbochargers.

You don't need skill to install them. You need skill to install them correctly.

Just, no. Might as well strap on glass packs, a big sub, and harass the neighbourhood at that point.

Yep, my wife's Mas GT has them, just regular lights, no logo. They're handy to have when you're wearing nice shoes and don't want to screw them up stepping out of the car.
