OK, does the T-Bird 1.2GHz chip have a 200 or 266 MHz BUS?

I'm planning to get a T-Bird 1.2GHz chip but I want to wait for the new MSI mobo with the KT133A chipset. The question is, if I get a 1.2 chip will I be able to run the FSB at 133MHz? If the BUS on a 1.2 chip is 200MHz I don't see how I'll be able to even use the 133 FSB of the new mobo. Any answers or comment will be MUCH appreciated.

The answer is maybe. Current Tbirds use a 100Mhz bus with double data rate, making it an effectibe 200Mhz. People have tested todays Tbirds in the 133(266) boards and sometimes they're stable, sometimes they arent. Also remember the KT133A will be able to use 100(200) also, so you will be able to use the processor no matter what, even if its not at 133.

Most people agree that the thing that limits the FSB overclockability of the Athlon is the chipsets, not the EV6 bus itself. If the chipset is designed to support a 133mhz FSB, it stands to reason that it will be possible to lower the multiplier nad run the higher FSB. There was just an article that had a Duron running at 155FSB on a KT133A board. The Duron was a 100(200)mhz bus and it was fine. It is still a little early to tell...

Using the KT133 set, you can run the "memory" clocked at 133 and leaving the FSB still at 200.

You can't change the clock of the FSB no matter. Not until the DDR sets are available. And even then, it hasn't been said if the systems that run SDRAM will even do 266 FSB?
