OK Deal on a Nice Surge Protector at Staples

Staples has a Curtis SP700-7T 7-outlet surge protector for $10. This is one of the better ones by Curtis (here is a link to the product). It has spaced outlets for AC adaptors, looks cool and is well designed. I bought several a few months ago when they were $7 and I'm very happy with them. At any rate these are much better than the ones Staples sells for twice as much. The Staples SKU is 456726.

these are rated by Joules right?

how many joules?

isn't that what matters when U look @ a surge...besides the outlet spacing! I LOVE spaced ones! 🙂 NEwayZ... can someone inform me about this? what makes the surge good?

Besides Joules rating, the usability is also very important for a product. Now take a look at that free AR CC power strip, it has 6-outlet, but how many AC adaptors can it take?

There was once a thread regarding a Curtis surge protector being cleared at staples, model # ended with 7TE, forgot exact model. Price was 7.9x, then 3.9x. When I finally checked out the deal at my staples a couple of weeks ago, price was .94, needless to say, I grabbed all 5, but gave 1 to a friendly cashier that's always good on my staples deal.

Can't find the thread now.

i saw these surge protectors a when i went to my local staples last friday. there's about 15+ of them for $4.xx
i thought these were el cheapo w/c could cause your pc to kaboom-boom.
better go back and grab 4 of these and that magellan gps for $90. hiya!!!

Yes, Staples was clearing those out some time ago, but now they seem to cary them again. They are rated at 1240 J, which is not the top of the scale, but not bad. What I really like about them is that they have spaced outlets, have phone/fax plugs, have cable guides for organizing the power/phone cables, and basically are very "usable". At $10 these is not a "hot" deal per se, but if you're looking for some mid-grade, quality surge protectors/extension, these are good. I know that much crapier ones sell for $25 or more.

this deal was arounda couples months ago, i think they are jsut getting the rest of the stock
got one too using it right this moment, only the extended corded one is for 10 dollars
