I have not seen this posted here before, so if it was, let this drop. Anyways, Best Buy is selling a package of 6 Antec thumb screws for $4.99. If you pick them up at the store that only comes to $5.29 (here in PA with 6% tax). This is an awesome deal when you figure that one screw at newegg costs $1.49 with $3.25 for shipping. This brings the cost of six to $8.94 plus $13.88 for shipping (to ship 6 screws?!). Anyway, that is $5.29 compared with $ 22.82 a difference of $17.53. The only downside is they do not come in colors (only silver).

They have the 6 pack for $1.59 everyday. (do a screw search, Item# 161 0195)
Shipping is actual, and as an example, if you order a mouse, keyboard and speakers
for about $10 total, shipping is around $6.00 for everything. Then add the screws and
shipping does NOT increase, since they probably just put them in the same box.

To give another example, shipping for the 6 screws only is $5.05.
Updating the order to 10 packs of 6 screws, and it's still $5.05 to ship.
 
Compusa has this same package of screws for the same price!

I got a package like 6 months ago -- 6 Antec thumbscrews for $5 -- and i know they still carry them as i see them every time i go now... they actually have a good selection of items like this -- screws, fans, etc at decent prices... if you can't find the section, just ask someone, all the Compusa's in my area (south florida) have them now so i'm sure its a nationwide thing.

Arent Thumbscrews just the fat screws used to hold the computer shell on?

If they are then your local school computer lab should have loads of them. They store about 4 of em behind each computer. If only there was an easy way to get them off without tools...

I thought the idea of thumb screws is that you don't need any tool to unscrew them. Regardless, I don't think taking them from school is a good idea...

You might be kidding, but I completely thought that's what was meant by "thumbscrews." If I had known it was just those lame screws, I wouldn't have clicked.
