Alright. Here's the dilly yo'. Back in the day as a young child, I remember watching the "Goonies" many times, and it happened to be one of my favorite movies of all time. During one viewing of it on network television, I was enlightened to see an octopus scene. It's as soon as they fall into the water next to one eye willy's pirate ship. Just this past Sunday, I bought a copy of the movie from wall-mart. I was grief stricken when I found out that the octopus scene was not included. I about gave up hope and decided I must have been stoned as a child, when at the end of the movie where the kids are huddled around with thier parents, data says to the reporter "the octopus was scary". With this evidence, I now conclude that this is a conspiracy to take a vital scene of the movie away from us the viewers. What do you think?

Yes there was an octopus scene, they prolly took out b/c it was too scary for the target audience. I am 90% sure. Can anyone verify?

Movies are (unfortunately) edited all the time by movie studios when released to video tape. Sometimes scenes are added ("Unrated" versions of R rated movies come to mind, as well as "Director's Cuts"), sometimes scenes are deleted (the "speed for the exam cram" bit in National Lampoon's Animal House was amputated without mercy, drug humor suddenly being verboten).
