No, it's not Jabba's dildo. It might be a Kloo Horn or Doremian Beshniquel. Just an instrument in Figrin D'an's band (The funny ppl who play at the cantina).

EDIT: I can't take all of the credit this time, so I'm going to admit that I got the information from Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary

Hey look, an answer! 😉

He only edited them. That book is a collection of short stories relating to Mos Eisley Cantina written by various authors. Practically any character who got any screen time at the Cantina scene in A New Hope is fleshed out and given a story. It's quite an interesting read, especially how the stories intertwine. Reminds me of those movies where seemingly different stories are all somehow related, like Magnolia or Pulp Fiction or Snatch.

Anyways, dug777: You tried to pwn me in this thread, but it looks like you got pwned (with your dual monitor showoff). 😛 There's nothing wrong with finding Star Wars interesting.

They're collections of short stories by many authors... Anderson only edits. :disgust:

Yeah, Kevin J. Anderson also edited Tales of the Bounty Hunters and Tales from Jabba's Palace. All pretty interesting reads if you feel inspired.

Unfortunatly they do tell a part of the grand tale, you see references to things that happened in his books in almost all following stories so even if he sucks as a writer (and he does) his stories are pivitol. I mean look, from his books came Kyp Durron who is probably one of the coolest of the newer Jedi Maters.

EDIT** It should be noted that while his Jedi Acadamy trilogy was decent, his book "Darksaber" was not. Anyone who wants to read all the relevat SW books can glady skip that book as it plays no role in anything that happens in the universe besides killing off a pretty cool character. I'm glad I only paid $2 for that book...
