OK Build is done...now what?

I guess the next step would be to stress test it and do some diagnostics, etc.

Where do I get these programs, i.e. memtest, prime, cpuz, etc.

Any links out there and any tips on how to run them?

AMD 4200+
G.Skill 2 x 1 GB DDR400
Asus A8N-E
BFG 7900GT
2 x Maxtor 100GB SATA
1 Seagate 200GB

Google is your friend...

Memtest
Prime 95
CPU-Z

Basically, what to do is use prime to test your cpu, open it up twice and set one of them to run on core 0 and the other for core 1, so it will stress both cores. Leave it for 24 hours to ensure maximum stability. Personally when i overclocked my rig i just bumped the cpu up until it failed prime in seconds and then bumped it down until it would run prime for a while, still to do a 24h stress test.

Memtest obviously tests your memory stability. It runs out of windows, i think it can be run from a floppy, so just make a bootable floppy disk and stick memtest on it, its astoundingly simple to work, i hate dos and things that look like it but i still managed it. Leave it to run for a couple of hours for maximum stability, or until your satisfied.

CPU-Z just tells you info about your CPU, speed, FSB, core revision, process etc. In case you didnt already know these things.
