Genesis had Lethal Inforces I think. Golden Axe was always fun. So was Road Rash II. Also Battlefrogs and Mutant League Football were great games.

Earthworm Jim, Phantasy Star 1-4, X-Men 2, Spatterhouse (or was that TG-16?), Comix Zone, Road Rash III. Lots more.

Adventures of Nemo was a very unique game. Not violent by any means, but a great story and gameplay.
