Ok, been out of it awhile - have some dumb S939/nForce4 overclocking questions

I'm getting ready to move from my good ol' XP2500@3200 set up to a Socket939/nForce 4 machine. I would like to keep my memory - Corsair XMS CL2 PC3200. It doesn't like to go over 208mhz max, so I'd like to keep it running stock. I would like to get the MSI nForce4 mobo (maybe that Foxconn if I can get some opinions on it) and a Winnie 3000 or 3200 - whichever will oc' the best. My question is will these new mobos let you adjust the multiplier or is all FSB adjustment now? If so, would I have to run my memory and FSB speeds asynchronously? How does that impact performance? Anything else I should know before taking the plunge?

Motherboard is irrelevant. For those chips, its all FSB.

Asynch is nil performance difference in A64

DFI Ultra-D is the best overclocker

Copy my setup ;)

Strange...my RAM also does not like more than ~112 at tight timings...

edit: Copy the async statement...better keep the best timings and divide... in my case running as "DDR333" which gives 208-209 MHz with the 250HTT

Another quick question: Will the stock HS/F be enough for OC'ing or should I get something a little more robust. I heard the stock HS/F was actually pretty decent...

Yea, A64 Winchesters stay fairly cool even with stock cooling. And is not very loud either.

Hmmm... How come my Corsair Value Select(2x512) cas2.5 can stay stable @216mhz for about 6 months already on my MSI Neo2 Nforce3 board. Value RAM just rox man :)

Also, as some1 else recommended... get a DFI board for overclocking (thats the KING), I am NOT 100% satisfied from my MSI Neo2 Plat in general (I had to RMA my first one), but for overclocking it is 1 of the best.
If i had a better Power Supply id have it at 2.6ghz right now... but 200mhz not a big difference in performance for me.
