ok ok.....i know its the middle of the weekend so i'll forgive ATI on that, but come monday the 7th, i'm expecting the X1800XT to be available at online retailers!

They promised us the X1800XT exactly one month after the X1000's series launch, lets see if ATI can keep their promise! (i highly doubt it)

Anyone want to make a wager on when the card will be available....i bet it comes out about week before xmas

I'm willing to bet my current card (a 9600SE) that newegg will have the X1800XT by Wednesday tops.

I am just happy to say that I have quit Gaming / High end gaming and sold my BELOVED ATI X800XL VIVO that I considre is the best card out there for the money, and now I have a cheapo X300se and ENOUGH OF THIS ATI NVIDIA BS. I AM SICK OF THE GRAPHICS MARKET AND THE BS THAT COMES WITH IT.

LOL I have just read your thread about the X800XT , you are free to do what you want with your money, personally I wouldn't waste that much on a card, I would rather wait than rush.
But hey congrats and hope the mobo comes soon and do't forget the benchies ;)

Ah, that's right. Today is XT day according to what we were told at the XLs launch.

Well, they are dribbling out into the populace a few cards at a time, and were even early for that.

So it's a "paper launch" no more, all that remains to be seen is will it be a phantom edition type launch where there is very limited availability for months.

We should also set some guidelines as to what available means. Having a shipment of 15 cards that are sold out in 5 hours and the next shipment coming in 4-5 days(newegg) is not what I would call available. Having 2-3 companies having the same model out for sale and having enough cards to go 2 weeks before running out would be what I consider available.

Maybe the OP covered his eyes as he entered the Video section and somehow clicked on 'New Thread' before he saw the posts about people with an X1800XT in hand.

There was no paper launch of that card. The name itself was a designation for clock speed, and nothing else. The vendors took it upon themselves to make the UEE's, and nVidia actually never released (or announced officially, for that matter) such a card. Thanks, but if you're going to bait and taunt, at least get the information correct.

I'm more interested in the Sapphire ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB and the Sapphire ATI Radeon X1800 XT Crossfire Edition 256MB, to be honest. Supposed November 28th release, but I dunno. The only problem I've had with Sapphire is unreliable release dates :p

However, I doubt I'll be buying on release due to monitary problems, which is a bastard :D

Heh- you mean the "we build one a week, have a contest for who gets it" type?
