ok all you nvidia drivers experts, i need a little help

im trying to run a Geforce2 MX on a Biostar 440LX mb, and any 3d program will freeze/lockup with drivers 5.XX and up

but strangly it works great with 3.xx drivers except the MX is labeled a Geforce DDR or Geforce 256 under the system properties panel

can some please tell me WTF is going on?

im using winME if that matters

Well it looks like the wrong drivers are loaded. Try reloading them manually, step by step. In win2k the Detonator drives allow you to select what type of GeForce you have. I imaging the Millenium drivers do the same.

switch to the standard vga driver, reboot... it should redetect the MX and load the correct driver...

Just use drivers that work. 3.xx probably run it at AGP1X.
LX mobos generally dont supply enough power to AGP port so using 2X results in freezing.
