i am referring to the largest single file, not any compressed archive or split file...

It's also cheaper to dl MP3s than buy the CD. It's also cheaper to warez your software rather than to buy it. It's also cheaper to steal stuff from stores than it is to actually pay for it. If you want to tell me how pirating movies is legal or how its a GOOD thing, go ahead because I am listening.

largest single file is around 850 megs. i transfer about 3-4 gigs every 4-5 days. don't ask.

About 650 megs, linux iso, did it the first day I got dsl, hah, had to try it on something.

About 3.5GB...it was a single ZIP file of the entire Oxford English Dictionary. ~4CD's. :) Oops I didn't just say that out loud did I? ;)

speaking of movies... I recently tried the FlaskMPEG program and ripped a DVD and converted it to DIVX. The quality is amazing...I converted my Jurassic Park DVD and managed to get it under 700MB with just amazing quality and 128Kbps stereo (mp3) sound. Looks great in full screen even.

You do know you can download those right? DivX/SmR movies are such incredible qualities that fit 1, sometimes two movies on one CD...lovely. :)
