Oil question

Is there any reason I shouldn't use Mobil 1 5W-40 "Truck & SUV" oil in a car? I've looked several places and I can't find any Mobil 1 5W-40 NON-"Truck & SUV."

you can use that oil in a car. but why? it maybe not be the best oil for your car, it maybe a good oil for your car.
it just depends, on make, engine, year, driving condititions, engine miles, temperature were you live etc

It will be fine.

Truck and SUV should just mean that it has a more robust additive package, which is good for any engine.

yep it will not hurt your car engine, it maybe even good for it. I would say a 5w-40 would be good for a car that is driven hard (esp high loads like trailer pulling), and in a area were temps very from cold to hot.

do a search here, you will find lots a info on oil and mobil 5w-40
oil message board

plus mobils website:Mobil
