i plied off the razor sharp metal sign on my laptop. how much block oil on a bamboo laptop?

i want to outline the flush touchpad:
glow in the dark clear on bamboo oil treated bamboo venere

glow set block oil?
it has been oiled once previously. However, under the sharp metal lettering, no exposure to wear, use, and A PREVIOUS OILING has made a contrast between otherwise smoothly flowing polished wood. I used bamboo block oil, like for cutting boards @ ikea; on the top opposite the monitor, and on the write, arm wrests. Careful of wood, always getting splinters. i know it is time cuz my hand oils are making it shine now, id rather it be bamboo oil. the mouse/touchpad contrast fill fade, but i want to go over with -low glow on the line that is visible around the touchboard under light. No brighter than the LED monitor 14" at 1366x768 on lowest backlight.
