I need new oil filters. I'll probably go to Napa. I already know from previous threads that FRAM SUCKS. So I won't get that.

Anyways, thumbs up or down on Napa Oil filters?

What about Napa Gold?

Napa Gold filters are some of the best on the market. Same thing as a Wix filter.

I use either one, lately I have been using Napa Silver. The cheap one (Silver) appears to be better made than comparable ones from Wal-mart. If you have a car you intend to keep 'till it is 40 years old then I would not hesitate to go for the Gold.

Napa Gold Filters are half the cost of Fram's most expensive filter and they are made much better than Fram. My local Napa store had some cut-a-way's on display, one was silver and the other was Fram, the silver was clearly superrior to the most expensive Fram Filter.

Yep. I use Wix on all my vehicles. You might be able to find it cheaper as a Wix than at Napa.

The Gold are if you are going for long drains like 6000+ miles. the Napa silver, walmart tech2000, cheap filters at advance/autozone, etc... are find up to around 5-6K for MOST cars.

My parents Z28 gets Mobil7500 10w30 and a Wal-Mart tech 2000 filter every 6000 miles.

OEM for me. Sometimes you do have to be careful which OEM you use though. I think for suby the OEM is a Napa.

I've been using Napa Golds for a while now... no complaints.

I read a while back that they were an awesome filter for the $.

I would recommend thus far...

Napa Gold for the last 30k miles or so. They make good filters. Cut one apart after your next oil change and check it out (this goes for any filter). Personally I don't care about the cost. My filter costs $12 bucks, but big deal; an extra $6 for the most essential maintenance item in your car every 4 or 5 months? I spend 6 bucks at Wendy's without thinking about it.
