If you have one of these containers for draining your oil into, make sure you open the plug!! Don't forget the air release plugs too. I was under my Jeep and just flipped the lid open without looking at the thing, and completely forgot about that. Every drop of oil ended up on the parking lot. :(


I got most with paper towels and put sand on top. I hope too much doesn't get into the ground. I guess in this case concrete being impermeable is a good thing.

hey you know, I heard that if you drive your car without oil, it goes faster, cause it doesn't have all the weight of the oil to slow it down!

concrete is porous, all that oil is going to make its way into the water table. congrats on mutant babies.

Note to idiots: prepare oil absorbent when changing own oil (new kitty litter works in a pinch)

Sad to say, I've done that. Luckily I caught it just before it flowed over the top.
