Oil Change or iPhone 6?

My check engine light came on this morning on the way to work, and I'm fairly certain it's because I need an oil change.

I really wanted to pick up an iPhone 6 during lunch but now I'm wondering if I should get an oil change instead.

I really want to look cool for an extra half of a day at work so I'm leaning towards visiting the apple store and putting off the oil change until the evening. Besides, what's wrong with an extra 20 miles before I get my car serviced?

Suggestions?

If it changes anything, I'm still on a 4S and get ragged about it all the time. Work life is brutal.

What type of oil change are you getting that costs as much as an iPhone.....?

Is this a weak attempt at trolling...? B/c 0/10 if so.

You're right, I think it's the service engine light amdhunter.

To the other guy...no one said an oil change cost as much as an iphone...where did you get that from?

Sounds like you own Apple's iCar, it only works for 6 months before you have to replace it with a newer model.

He didn't make it clear really that it was a time issue, not a money thing.

Either way, who gets a phone over getting their car fixed, lol. No brainer. Can your phone drive you to work and back?

Some iDiots sure give off the impression that it does.

Half a day for your oil change won't make any difference. Your maintenance reminder isn't a magical imminent self-destruct indicator.

The consensus seems to be go for the iphone.

I have a few more hours to think it over before making the decision. Thanks for the help so far guys.

This this car a BMW M3 by any chance?

If so, screw the service light and get the new iPhone. A person of your status can't be seen carrying around a three year old cell phone!

Get the iPhone. How else are you supposed to post about how much of a fuckup you are for not getting your car fixed when the check engine light came on and getting an iPhone instead later on down the road?

Bah, it's just a check engine light. You worry too much.

Besides, if the car does blow up, just think about how great that selfie on the side of road will look with the iPhone 6's new 8 Megapixel camera!

I'm not worried. Besides, I said "later on down the road." Obviously the OP isn't worried about it too much either.

Besides, it's probably just a stupid O2 sensor or something.

Even getting a change with Mobil One, it'll run you no more than $115, while the iPhone runs around $299?

Not understanding why this is an either or.

The iPhone will improve your productivity to the extent that by tomorrow you will have plenty of time to change your oil.
