Depends on the vehicle, how it is driven, how often is is driven and for how long, and what kind of oil is being used.

about every 2500 - 3000 miles. I do it myself and use conventional oil and purolator filters.

depends on how you drive. I drive about 5000-6000miles a month, I change my oil (and filter of course)every 5k, I also only need brake jobs done around every 150,000miles, where most people get them done every 30-50kmiles

If I only kept my cars for as few years as most people, I wouldn't change it until it was put up for sale. As it is, I shoot for about every 4 months, because they barely get 5K per year put on 'em.

3-5k... usually more toward 3k, since I get annoyed by the DIC continually informing me that it needs an oil change soon. Yeah, I know I can eliminate that problem... but if I did I'd probably forget to change the oil. lol
