Well...IMO, REAL Christians would be very liberal...it's in the teachings they claim to follow.

Gandhi is reputed to have said it best...

I think the problem is that the term "Christian" was co-opted by evangelicals. You ask them if they consider Catholics as Christians and more often than not, you'll get a negative response.

also, just like the word "liberal", the word "Christian" has accumulated several additional connotations other than that one believes in JHC.

Sounds like more religilous snowflakism getting accommodated by insecure culture warriors who resent science and real history.

Bubble dwellers want their kids to live in the same bubble, which is difficult when those pesky facts keep getting in the way. Remember, the feels of the holy rollers are more important than facts, and religious kids flunking tests covering real world subjects is downright mean. Students who identify as christian deserve some extra consideration, what with them being America's most prominent religious community struggling for survival and political representation.
