3-10-2004 President Bush visits Ohio with unemployment of 6.2%, over 200,000 Lost Jobs

President Bush was visiting Ohio, where unemployment is stuck at 6.2 percent and where nearly 200,000 jobs were lost during the recession from 2001 through last March ? nearly two-thirds in manufacturing. The national unemployment rate for February was 5.6 percent.

Bush was giving a speech on Americans' anxiety about jobs going overseas. And he was making a fresh push for his economic policies, criticized for months by the Democratic presidential contenders.

It was Bush's 15th trip to the state since taking office.

He'll just give them the old standby "His plan will work if given more time." This President is sorry. He's done nothing right. His tax cuts have done nothing but cause the biggest deficient in our country's history. Jobs have been fleeing left and right and all he says is it will benefit Americans in the long run. Social Security has been pillaged. We're a fighting war where the WMD's turned out to be a lie. The reason for the war has flipped flopped from the reason of war was to protect us, to freeing Iraqi people. There have been so many stories from the Lie House, I mean White House, you don't know what to believe. At the beginning of the year 2.6 miilion jobs were going to be created and less than 50,000 have been made. He should visit this state once a damn week as a reminder of how pitiful a job he and has posse have done.

He's there at some Entrepreneurial Women's Conference or something.

I think he said "entrepreneurial" at least dozen times in the part of the speech I saw on my lunch break.

At least he didn't mispronounce it!

They focused on Ohio on the News again tonight:

Saying things like no Republican has won without winning Ohio and pretty much a given based on over 200,000 losing their jobs that them as well as family and friends all will not be voting for Bush, projecting easily more than a Million votes gone right there alone.

Russert has been saying this year it will be Ohio, Ohio, Ohio instead of Florida.
