I need help...quickly!!!
Here's the scoop. I was feeling a little greedy and like a IDIOT, I installed one of those damned hackware installers off of KaZaa, the ones that give you a ton of games to d/l.
Needless to say, I've got multiple .exe viruses in C:\ windows\ temp\ sys32 file. I ran a complete virus scan and it found them but can only heal them.
I tried to delete all of the bad files afterwards but they are just regenerating themselves right back!!! My comp is running like crap...really jumpy in games and I'm sure worse will happen the longer I run my machine.
How can I extract this file off of my windows cd and replace the infected file? Or is it even possible?
Please help!
You made the bed. Perhaps next time, you should try a somewhat less nefarious route to game aquisition.
