I have a video due in less than an hour for a class and I can't record the footage onto my camcorder from my computer. It says "DEW" on the screen. I guess moisture somehow got in it or the camcorder thinks so anyhow... I'm SCREWED!!! Ohh Noes!!!!

Let the heads warm to room temperature before using them, takes about an hour or two. Failure to do so could cause permanent damage.

Would a camcorder really say 'dew' if it was wet?? My guess is it's D.E.W. that stands for something or it's an error code. How would it know it was wet?

I don't know...It plainly states "dew"....then the power blinks off. I tried the blowdryer before I posted and was careful not to heat it up too much...still didn't help.

I actually had a finished copy of this on VHS for class, but the quality wasn't good so I was going to try to redo it so it looked better for the presentation. I ended up copying a version to CD after shrinking it from 5.8GB to 388 Megs of lower quality video.

On a regulat CRT TV from a viewing distance of 15+ ft away, people generally don't notice low resolution/low quality encodes. :)
