Oh, and good quote.

Well, because technically it's a certification by itself, as are the others. 🙂

The MCSE encompasses the MCP.

Dude, my job SUCKS.

My roommate works for socialists and gets like 2 months off a year (quite literally too). She comes home everyday and complains about traffic and her job. I wish she would STFU because no one likes their job.

Yeah but you never see CCIEs putting CCNA on their business cards also. 😛

If you are MCSE plus another MS cert, it has no impact on your MCSE. You would be MCSE and MCP. Makes perfect sense to me.

I don't hate my job, actaully its the funnest easiest job ever, I hate the fact that it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.....

I agree, it doesn't make much sense. All the MCP title means is that you've passed a single Microsoft exam. An MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA, MCSD... even an MCDST would not need to also list that he or she is an MCP. It's understood.

So what does saying that you're an MCP *really* mean? Does that mean you can manage a Win2K server? or an XP Pro workstation? or program in Visual Basic? or know SQL? No... it just means you passed one random exam.

Shoot, I've got enough letters as it is - there's no reason for me to list all the certifications that are prerequisites of other certifications (MCSE, MCP, OCA, CNA, CCNA, CCDA).
