Wow, this is a great combo, almost what I've been using (successfully) for the last nearly two years. (I have the AB350M Pro4 mobo, rather than the basic AB350M as in this combo, with the Ryzen 5 1600 CPU.)
This is by far, one of the most powerful CPUs that I've used in the last five years.
Yes, the 2600X clocks higher, and boosts higher without overclocking, and then there's the 2700X, with 8C/16T, and then ThreadRipper 1 and 2 series... but I digress.
If you've got an older rig, and have been on the fence about upgrading, WORRY NO MORE, JUST BUY THIS COMBO. Really. Step up to Ryzen.
Also, this combo should still be able to run Windows 7, for those aficionados out there.
I paid $220 for my CPU alone, and then $70-80 for the mobo. For $180 total, for both, and then a $10 MIR, this is a real NO-BRAINER. Just buy now, thank me later. This is gonna sell out.
