This was the first (running) race I've been in, a 10k (6.2 miles for the metrically disadvantaged) officially timed and everything race.
It was pretty sweet; I made a 7:24 minute pace, which is not that great, but I've been training for the Chicago Marathon and typically go at about an 8-8:30 pace, so it was pushing it for me.
Anyway, it was a pretty good run; there were a ton of steep hills (probably 3 really steep ones) and it was about 86 degrees, >90% humidity, so it was a tough course as far as I can tell.
I didn't really do that well in my age group (20-24) since most of the top 10 finishers were in my age group, but I ended up at 64 overall out of about 353, so that made me feel a little better.
