5 spd, of course, black, with black interior, with black recaro srd seats and black tint
racing beat lightweight steel flywheel, centerforce dualfriction clutch

i'm stoked... mazdatrix (the place that streetported the motor) wants to give me a free dynorun so they can see how good their streetport is... they kind of did an new type of streetport on a rotary, so they wanna see how it measures up to other streetports... but from what the guy told me, this n/a is just as fast, if not faster than a turbo rx7... :D yes, i am stoked :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

20, clean record, good driver, good student, multi-car-discout (on parent's policy), around 1k/year, liability only (with the high ass limit my parents have...)

ac works :) it's on the new refrigerant, i think it's 134a rather than 132 or something or other... :D i was looking at 3rd gens and turbo 2nd gens, and i was like.... i'm still in college, i dont' want to have to deal with too much maintenance and repairs.... so i went with the cheaper more reliable n/a 2nd gen :D

Arent they a pain in the butt to service?

Nice car, & good choice staying on your parents' insurance - That'll save you a lot.

I like that generation of RX-7, problem is most have been ragged to death & the rotary is nearing the end of it's life.

Only 1 moving part (to the core engine it's self), so not much you can do to it.

Sweet car by the way.

I think some black rims w/ blackout covers on the taillights would be real sweet (go for the all-black effect).

Sweet car, you'll have to let us know what it Dyno's at. I recently got me the beauty in my sig, a 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo w/ sports package 230 horsies stock. 110k on the car, 40k on the motor. It's all stock with the exception of the Head Gasket which was replaced with the HKS steel one so as to avoid the problem with the turbo blowing it. I want to get mine painted black too, but I don't have a clue on where to start looking for a good paint job that won't break the bank around here. :(

Nice car!

Just be careful with your insurance. If you hit a Porsche or some nice car, say bye bye to a ton of money. If you injure someone, you will be working your ass off to support them for the next few years.

Cool

On the plus side:
  1. Very frugal initial price (no mortgage sized car payment)
  2. Unique (not just one of a billion Honda, Toyota or Nissans)
  3. Decently fast, TRUE sports car
  4. Only 32K on the engine
  5. Nice upgrades all around
I'd be sweating about keeping up a rotary, but it sounds like you have good connections.

Good Luck!

Edit: BTW, screw ricing it up with $2,000.00 worth of wheels and shiznit. I'd keep it as stock as possible. It was done right from the factory!

thanks for the replies guys... yes, it's fast... :) more than fast enough for me... the rotary thing doesn't really worry me too much... that's the reason why i wanted the car... the engine is dope... it's like 2 doritos on a stick, hehehe, that's the best analogy i've heard for it...

i'll let you guys know what it dynos after i put the header on and bring it over to mazdatrix...

vipergts : big streetport - 32k :D
