I'm going to be heading home in a little over a week and I'll be using dialup with AOL (no comments please) and I was curious if I would notice subscribing at all. Anybody that's dialing up as a subscriber?

Yeah, I was just waiting for that. The problem is that my dad originally got AOL and he also got a second phone line. I obviously hate AOL and want him to get cable but he doesn't want to give up the second phone line. I'm not exactly sure why not either because we leave AOL always dialed in. It's stupid and starting to make me mad. I'm seriously considering jumping for cable myself this summer and not letting my father touch it. Anyway, now that I have that wonderful testimonial from nik, I'm going to give it even more thought.

there's not much of a difference on dialup, but it's enough to certainly tell. I mean... now it only takes 8 minutes to load a page instead of 10. Anyway, when I subscribed, I was at work. I'm on a shared T1 there, and I practically crapped my pants. It looks so much more clean and professional. It's nice.

I know that feeling. When I go home for breaks I am stuck on dialup and it sucks. Of course I am either on AOL or Netzero because that is all my parents have.
