We just sent my sister HP laptop in to get it fixed (backlight keeps going out) and I just realized I forgot to backup the SetiLog.csv file!! Argh!

Good question, I wouldnt think so but who knows.
We sent it to HP last time and they did reformat. But they didnt fix the problem because their repair person cracked the screen and didnt want to have to pay for it so they said it was damaged in transit and sent it back unfixed.

I sure hope they dont reformat though.

They should give you a new one. Did you shipped it insured? Can you make a claim against the carrier?
 
We got it back today and they did not reformat! That saves several hours of my life. Plus I still have my SetiLog.csv file!
