Sickening...

I'm running Windows XP. On the AnandTech frontpage, it underlined the word Intel in purple. If I hold my mouse over it, a little info box pops up. (see image) -- I wonder how much Intel paid for that? Blech. :disgust:

And nothing for AMD.

What is even more sickening is the pastel colors. Too much of it is not a good thing.

So now the evil empire scans the content of the web pages that we visit and gives us unwanted information that clutters our screen.

Whatever will they think of next?

BTW - Are they erasing all references to Netscape or Linux on all web sites?

That's a new feature built into Internet explorer that comes with Windows XP. It'll highlight corporation names such as Yahoo, Intel, Microsoft, Cisco and what not... and You can bring up that dialogue and check out information on them. It's not Anandtech advertising Intel..

Well I like XP, and although it doesn't bother me in the sense that I won't use it ... maybe I'll boycott and just not BUY it? ;)

<< if you guys missed what Valafar said, it's a feature of IE6 not of WinXP. >>

Like they are not going to ship IE6 with XP. I guess I will have to install IE4 to correct the problem.

But then what are you going to use? Netscape? I'd rather be subjected to corporate gimmicks than Nutscrape.

Sure, why not? Good ol' Nutscrape 4.08 browser-only works fine..... or Opera.... or that buggy new Mozilla.... There are alternatives.
