I know it's the wrong forum but I have little time and have a big problem with a computer. It's running windows xp and gets an error every time, about 1 minute after it starts up. It says "NT Authority Shutdown in 1 min. Save all work." etc...

I can't close it or cancle it and all I know is that it has something to do with the computer being online (I don't get the error if it's unplugged from the cable modem). It mentions it's because of a remote procedure call serive terminated unexpectedly.

I'm looking online for information but nothing is conclusive...please help! (sorry again about the wrong forum)

leave it unplugged from the cable modem

or read the sticky thread at the top titled "Auto-Reboot by "NT-AUTHORITY-SYSTEM"? SOLVED, RPC vulnerability from Windows"

good luck 🙂
