I go to school half way across the country, and I thought I packed it in my carry on bag on my way back to Vancouver but now I can't find it!

I've got my birth certificate, drivers license and everything else but I can't find my passport!

Is there anything I can do? Will I be allowed across the border?

I'm in Vancouver, go to school in Kingston, ON.

For clarification, I don't even know where they should look, I thought I packed it.

Would it make any difference if I'm travelling with my dad?

IIRC if you're Canadian you can go to Mexico or Dominican or Cuba without a passport. Hawaii I'm not sure... since it's US soil maybe you don't need it.

OP: do you know anyone there in Vancouver that could look for you?

I (US Citizen) was able to travel to / from Canada using just my Driver's License and my Birth Certificate, last month.

I would check with the airline...they should know for sure.

Have someone locate your Passport and send it to you if possible.

I think, though, by 12/31/2006 you'll need a Passport to travel between Canada and the US.

Just run through the border guards

Yep, when going through security just scream "look, a moose!" When they look away, nonchalantly saunter past them.

IIRC, you can be admitted to the US with proof of Canadian citizenship (birth cirtificate) and a photo ID.

Be sure to take some vasoline with you before you attempt to cross the border without a passport. I'd guess that's gonna make those rubber gloves feel that much better when they probe your anus for WMDs.
