All these people dumping on Calgary. I spent a week out there last summer and from my brief visit, Calgary is one of the best, if not the best, major cities in North America. Clean, well laid out, great park system, vibrant economy, very active downtown scene, etc. It's a pleasant surprise to be in a city that is studded with construction cranes.

I imagine it's a tad different in the winter (ie, September to May) but I personally love the winter anyway.

Calgary sucks. If you ever watch the Canadian version of COPS, almost every crime takes place there for some reason.

I'd have no problem voting for a muslim for mayor if that candidate would take on the public employee unions.

In the winter Calgarians have a quick drive to some of the best skiing in the world.
