Playing some Duty this morning just fine. Turned on my xbox to play some more this afternoon and I have the red rings of death. :(

Turned it off/back on same thing.

There are other error codes showing red segments besides "the" RRoD, as explained at xbox.com and in the consoles sticky (item 12) -- read up and see whether you just have a loose cable.

Yea, I checked up on some of them. So I checked the power supply and cables but not an issue.

Luckily MS extended the warranty for the lack of production quality to 3 years and it will get repaired for free.

I will just be without for a while....I'll live ;)

EDIT: RRoD 1020

I brought mine in to the Purolator drop off on Wednesday afternoon and I got my replacement yesterday at 1pm. I'm pretty sure it didn't even have enough time to get to Toronto.

So they are just shipping out refurbs? That is fine

I didn't think so. I had to redownload every single thing I had ever downloaded to make everything work right again. Redownloading all of my rockband songs was incredibly annoying. Piss poor design by MS with their DLC as far as I'm concerned. Also I'm pretty sure the DVD-rom on my refurb is about ready to die.
