Oh noes, IB delayed until June. Purchase window for IB laptop, with Win7?

I want to purchase a new laptop with Windows 7. I've owned three already with Windows 7, but sold two of them. The one I currently have, has a bad battery.

Was thinking of getting an IB laptop, with the HD4000 graphics. But Ivy is being delayed.

But I want to purchase, BEFORE Win8 hits the market. I'm afraid that once Win8 hits, you won't be able to purchase a Win7 laptop.

I've heard that Ivy Bridge quad core notebooks may still be released by end of April.

Windows 7 will be around for a long time. Do not rush a purchase just for that.

I think he mean's he wants a OEM Windows 7 Key so he doesn't need to go buy one or use a Torrent.

I agree though, you've got 10 months before OEM's will start bundling Windows 8, and for most part, it will be a free upgrade for the first month or two to clear supplies. (will still come with Win 7)

Buy a cheap $350 dollar special from best buy etc and resell it for a small loss when you don't need it anymore.

I almost picked up that Dell laptop that was on sale this week at Staples, i3 SB, 6GB DDR3, 500GB HD, 14" screen, 2x USB3, 1x USB2, HDMI, for $350 after Easy Rebate prepaid card.

Seems like they are clearing out that model, to prepare for IB.
