Oh noes! Hole in my nylon shorts!

So, I was steralizing the needle to pop a blister on the bottom of my foot and I heat up the needle, but the needle got hot a lot faster than it usually does, and I dropped the needle on the table.

The needle then proceeded to roll off the table and onto my nylon shorts, burning a hole in them. The hole is probably is probably 1cm by .02"

Not a big deal, but I want to fix it. I don't think I can sew it together because there is no hem. Ideas?

I've heard of fusing, I don't know what that is though.

I think I'd probably use iron-on mending tape.. provided the fabric will hold up to the heat of the iron..

your mother called you stupid for dropping a hot needle on your shorts? 🙁

its nylon, you should probably just hop over to wal-mart/old navy and buy some new ones

Soccer shorts 🙁

Old Navy doesn't carry them and my Wal*Mart is a) run down, b) picked over, c) cockroast infested, etc. I'd only buy sealed items from there.

have a patch sewn into it, nylon sucks with teh heat and will likely melt with an iron and mending tape, test it somewhere before you iron it anyway
