oh noes!1! US to re-make Korea's "My Sassy Girl"

Wow, that doesn't sound anytihng like The Girl Next Door.

except the guy gets dumped instead of hooking up with her. but $10 says that he gets another chick with all the stuff he learned from the first chick.

wow...guess thats another movie i don't need to see.

Meh due to influences I saw My Sassy Girl...found it a bit overbearing anyhow, but I guess it works for some people.
Elisha Cuthbert works though.

but at least they got the casting right 🙂 [cuthbert would be perfect for this role]

Wow. Must suck to be cast as "Woman of No Consequence". How do you put that on a resume?

So, is this really a remake? The plot sounds a bit different and I can't imagine that actor playing the goofy, but persistent character of the Korean guy. And as much as I like Cuthbert, I'm not sure she can pull off the "sassy" character of the Korean girl either (who, by the way, is REALLY cute). We'll see...

they will fvck it up. My Sassy Girl is a typical cute, korean movie. Its just not the type of genre the US can do.

I can't believe that there are any guys (straight) that actually enjoyed this movie.

I enjoy a chick flick as much as the next guy, but this movie was so absolutely horrificlly bad.

Noooooooo....not "My Sassy Girl"! They'll never do it justice!

/Has never even heard of "My Sassy Girl" but wanted to join the crowd.

US movies are too sexual. They always have sex. I don't mind the nude scene but it's certainly cute in Korean movies where they never do it and they sweetly tease the audience with innocent romance.

Cuthbert is okay. I'm just glad they didn't go with that snoopy-eyed Jalba that everyone wouldn't STFU about here in this forum.

 It's so true!

it was a crappy movie in Korea, it will be a crappy movie in America. What's new? Korea mainstream couldn't make anything remotely avant if their lives depended on it (at least from what I've seen, this includes movies, music, etc). Everything is based on simple angst and cheap comedy.
