Interesting mother. Most people I know will never throw out anything that looks like it belongs in a computer unless they know that it'll never get used again - they see all the complex wiring and assume it's expensive.

My guess is you left it in a box or something.

My mom threw away one of my paychecks once. It was in an envelope and she assumed that I hadn't left it in there. Luckily my boss was nice and it wasn't a problem stopping payment on it and getting a new one.

You still gotta wonder how one might accidentally throw away a video card.

It had just failed on me, and I had took it out to test it on my other computer. Sure enough its broken, so I email Creative asking how to RMA it, and I leave it out overnight. My mom is fed up with me leaving my computer stuff around the house(more like the computer area), so she throws it away. Its trash day. The trash guys came and went by the time I got home.

I'm trying to talk my dad into buying me another (I might say it was an Ultra, to get an upgrade ), but he wants me to use this as a learning experiance, to not leave my sh!t laying around. Stupid parents.
