Can somebody help me confirm for me a report I heard on the radio that the foreign, British, press is reporting that the Florida consortium counting the votes in the Nov2000 election are done and are saying that not only did Bush loose, but that he lost by a wide margin. They say the news is being hushed here because of the war and the need to unite and all that. But if it's true then it means that GORE WON.

Hmmm, nothing on the BBC news site or the Guardian.

Wishful thinking?

So that would mean 1 out of about 10 different counts shows that Gore won. I think I will stick with the other 9 counts.

They probably had 2 year olds counting the votes this time.

I searched the BBC, London Times, and the London Evening Standard, and only found one reference to the election. This is probably the only significant answer anyway that matters... Gore concedes US presidency

Uh oh, the makings of another conspiracy theorist cover-up. Where do corporations enter into this? Evil rich corporations factor into EVERY conspiracy theory. OH! They made the voting machines, that's it!

Anyhoo, the ballots have been so manipulated and excessively handled by this time, it wouldn't surprise me if that Tax Payer's Party candidate won.

Unfortunatly moonboom is right. There is one group that claims gore had a 20,000 vote lead in florida. But that goes against several independant vote recounts that confirm once again that Bush won. The Wall street journal and NY times confimed that Bush did indeed win Florida.

BUt if you want to go read about the people who can quite get over that Gore lost go here.

No way...I had some time last weekend, so I flew down there and counted them all up on Sunday and I had:
Bush with 12,893,876
Anybody but Gore 12,783,913
Nader 1,587
Gore 666(This included the ones marked with crayons, magic markers, ketchup, mustard, relish, chilli, and dimples)

What did everybody else get when they counted it?

Actually they were counted in at least two of the recounts done and Bush somehow ended up picking up more votes than Gore.......can't recall the final tally but I know I was shocked!

Who cares if Gore won or not? Bush is doing a very good job of being president considering the current situation. I can't imagine what Gore would do if he was president now.
