Those lens "pens" are pretty much crap for cleaning optical surfaces.

Get a box of Kimwipes and a bottle of R.O.R.

What? Kimwipes are bad I heard. They're made from wood and stuff.

Lens pens are the way to go for grease. But since you made a mess, go for a microfiber + IPA clean. Shrug. A lot of people on POTN forums swears by lens pens. So do I.

...I used to clean film negatives and slides with Kimwipes and cleaning solution. They're perfectly fine for lens cleaning...and they won't leave behind fuzzy particles like a microfiber will.
