It means "I want ???". Sorry, that's all I know!

The main problem with the referee was basically consistency. If you're playing with a strict referee then you know to be careful. If the referee makes it up as he goes along the players are at a loss of what they can and can't do. I generally think the refereeing is too soft, the Premiership style is much better. Refs shouln't take any rubbish BUT recognise that football is a contact sport!

1. Figo will not be punished for headbutting someone

1. The Portugese FA may be appealing against one of the bookings of Deco which if successful would mean he is free to play

1. Ronaldo is likely to be fit and is confident he will be able to play

I can't believe Figo isn't getting any more punishment for the headbutt.

I thought the rule was violent retaliation = red card. And if FIFA's dumbass referee doesn't do that, then they should intervene after the game. Beckham was sent off for retaliating in France '98. I've seen people sent off for throwing punches and missing.

So let's get this straight: you get sent off for falling over whilst trying to get the ball back, but not for headbutting someone. What?!

The problems with FIFA and the refs is that the game has changed so much, much faster now, that they need to put two refs on the field, instead of one, plus more participation of the linesmen. I feel sorry for the aussies, they did not deserved to end the game like that, the ref should have let the game go to OT and see who is the best.

Well, if we play like the first half against Serbia and Montenegro, when both teams were at full squad ( even though the second half was good, but 11 vs 10), I think that Germany will watch the rest of the WC from the stands (I hope so 🙂), and then it will be the winner between Italy and whoever wins today in the afternoon. In the other bracket, Brazil has to pass Ghana, which it will no be a easy task, and then Spain.

England will definitely win (well, obviously you can never be sure but...). An opponent who moves the ball around is exactly what we need. All the teams we've been playing have been putting 11 men behind the ball which makes it tough for England to break with their style of play. Portugal didn't play well, and they'll (hopefully) have a depleted side. I can't really see why if you'd watched both teams play you'd be so sure of Portugal - the bookmakers certainly prefer England!

But yeah, Sven is a dead horse... no a dead donkey. Yea thats what he is.

Exactly, the defender was beaten it was one on one with the goalie and the Italian player decided not to go out of his way to avoid being fouled. What would have happened if he tried to avoid the Australian player and the goalie was able to jump on the ball? Great play by Italy.

Nah it's fun ripping the refs. The quality of refereeing this tournament has been awful in places, even from the more experienced refs.

See what Graham Poll did? Gave a player two yellow cards but didn't send him off! And none of the other officials noticed either! Then he booked the guy again and sent him off, but showed the red and the yellow cards the wrong way round! So if you analyse the player was booked, booked again (at which point he should have gone), shown a straight red (so sent off) then booked again!
