On the old HD, I deleted all the space consuming programs (including OUtlook 2000), I had important email from Outlook 2000!!! Now Its all gone, is there posibly a way to retrieve ALL of my email?

Just use the "find" function from start button for "recent" as slightly before your last e-mail sent or received and "Big" files and you should find it quickly. For most people, their mail file is one of the 10 biggest on their computer. BTW don't forget to safely store the address book (probably *.pab) while your at it.

Depending on your OS, actually Outlook (and other program) "documents" are not stored in the same directory as the programs themselves. There are Profiles and My Documents directories where these types of things like to show up.

But, since you're back on track, it won't matter too much ... this time. 🙂

I'm still keeping my old partition alive as I am in the process of installing everything over now. I'll keep that one as backup then i'll put win2k onto it in about a week or when all my progs work.

It might be reading your mail files from your old hard drive so be sure where they are before you wipe your old drive.

Outlook stores your mail, contacts, (everything) in a file usually called outlook.pst. It may have a different name, but it will have the .pst extension. Do a "find". Its not the easiest thing to move though. If you just drag it over, it doesn't work. You have to use the import/export function.
